Report on the Graduation of Syrian Scholars Initiative (SSI) Scholars and Conclusion of Support Program

In 2017, ICU and JICUF launched the Syrian Scholars Initiative (SSI) scholarship program. Since welcoming the first students in 2018, nine scholars in total have studied at ICU and spent meaningful time alongside their peers on campus.

We are pleased to report that our final scholar graduated in July 2026, and thus the Syrian student support program under this scholarship initiative has officially concluded.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the warm support and generosity you have extended to us throughout the years.

While fundraising for the Syrian Scholars Initiative (SSI) has now closed, ICU will continue to host refugees and displaced students through donations designated to the "Pay Forward Fund."
