Taizansō Conservation Fund

In 1999, Taizansō on the ICU campus was registered as a Tangible Cultural Property in Japan by the Japanese government. In recognition of the historical value of this cultural heritage, we have maintained our efforts in preserving Taizansō in its optimum condition. Your donations will be utilized for the conservation of this cultural asset.

We appreciate your support in conserving and restoring Taizansō, one of Japan's registered cultural heritage sites.

In conserving and maintaining Taizansō, many have supported us with generous donations. These gifts have enabled us to fund our three-year large-scale repair and renovation project from 2017 for the Kōfūkyo, Machiai (“waiting” tearoom for preliminary receptions), Front Gate, Storehouse, and Garage. To pass on this cultural legacy in optimum condition to the next generation, regular maintenance will be the key. We ask you for your continued support.

Taizansō is open to the public only on special occasions, such as during Tokyo Heritage Week, as it coincides with the ICU festival. All donations received are used for the conservation of Taizansō. Thank you for your generous support.
