SCJ Certificate
What is SCJ Certificate?
The SCJ Certificate will include the following information;
（Date of issue, Your name, SCJ ID, Name of the course, Course period, Course level, Grade, Classroom hours, Units.）
The Research Center for Global Language Education (RCGLE) closed and therefore ceased all administrative and research activities on March 31, 2023. Certificates for the Summer Courses in Japanese (SCJ) in previous years are handled by the Japanese Language Programs (JLP) office. The certificate will be issued by the Director of the Japanese Language Programs. Please direct any inquiries to scj@icu.ac.jp.
What is Digitary CORE?
Digitary CORE is a trusted, secure cloud platform that helps University students from around the world to access and share their verified academic documents online. Verified documents can be stored, accessed and shared with employers, other education providers, governments and third parties, 24/7, from anywhere in the world. This allows for an efficient and effective way to view and share your documents, providing a platform where you are in control of who views your documents and how.
Access to your documents can take up to 5 workings days from request, you will receive an e-mail confirmation once these are ready.

NOTES
・SCJ Certificate(s) cannot be issued immediately. Please plan ahead.
・Once you paid fee to SCJ office, it will not be refunded with whatever reason.
How to request SCJ Certificate
Past participants who need SCJ certificate should submit the Request form and the required payments as described on the following.
STEP 1.
Download "Request for Certificate of ICU Summer Courses in Japanese Grade" form and fill in the necessary information.

STEP 2.
Submit the request form to SCJ office by e-mail together with required payment receipt, or proof of payment.【e-mail: scj@icu.ac.jp】
You will receive an e-mail confirmation from SCJ office.
STEP 3.
When your SCJ certificate has been uploaded to Digitary CORE, you will receive an e-mail from Digitary CORE with information about registering for your Digitary CORE account and accessing and sharing your document. This can take up to 5 workings days from request (step 2).

If you wish to receive the certificate by postal mail, postage is required in addition to the SCJ certificate processing fee.

If you remit your fees from abroad, add 2500 yen as bank handling charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long can I have access to my SCJ certificate on Digitary CORE?
The certificate will be accessible on Dignitary Core for a one-year period from the date of issue.
2. I have received SCJ certificate through Digitary CORE before, but now I want a paper copy too. What should I do?
If you want a paper copy sent by SCJ office, please make another request. Price List is on the request form.
3. I wish to receive a paper copy of SCJ certificate by postal mail with tracking service. How much should I pay?
We can send the certificate by the Express Mail Service (EMS). Price List is on the request form.
<Example> If you wish to receive the certificate by EMS to the UK, the total required cost will be 5000 yen.
(SCJ Certificate Processing Fee 300 yen, EMS fee 2200 yen and bank handling charge 2500 yen)
4. I had received SCJ certificate before, but would like another copy with the latest issuing date.
You have to make another request. Please submit required items. If your SCJ certificate is on Digitary CORE, the updated certificate will replace previous version of it.
5. I am not sure how much I should pay.
Please fill in sections 1 and 2 on the request form and e-mail us <scj@icu.ac.jp> so that we can tell you the price.
