Profile
Yukiko Yamada obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Tokyo University of the Arts where she studied with Professor Naoko Imai and Tsuguo Hirono. She continued her studies with Theo Jellema, Wolfgang Zerer and Edwin Wiersinga at the Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, the Netherlands in 2010 as a member of the Japanese Governments Overseas Study Program for Artists and where she received the Netherlands goverment HSP scholarship as well. She has won prizes in several international competitions, most notably the third prize in the Andrea Antico da Montona Organ Competition, third prize in the Friuli Organ Competition, third prize in the Grande Prix Bach de Lausanne and the first prize in The Organ Competition of Barceno. Ms. Yamada is a part time lecturer and teaching at Obelin University, as well as at L'Atelier Baroque.
