Uchida Mitsune
Commencing organ studies at age twelve, Uchida graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and completed a Master's degree at its Graduate School. During his studies, he received the Ataka Prize and the Acanthus Music Award. Awarded a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship, he studied at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, completing his Master's degree. Subsequently, with support from the Nomura Foundation and the City of Hamburg, he undertook studies in the State Performance Qualification programme at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre.
Uchida studied organ with Hiroko Asai, Kensuke Ohira, Rie Hiroe, Bernhard Haas, and Wolfgang Zerer; studied harpsichord with Asami Hirosawa, Genzoh Takehisa, and Christine Schornsheim.
He was awarded third prize at the 14th International Gottfried Silbermann Organ Competition (Internationaler Gottfried-Silbermann-
