Welcome to the Department of Natural Sciences
Natural sciences are an integral part of the Liberal Arts Education. In particular, modern problems such as environmental and energy issues, the development of new medicine and information technology, etc., we need basic knowledge of sciences and scientific methods to make independent decisions. It is necessary to understand the concept and the way of thinking.
The International Christian University (ICU) has six majors in science, and it is possible to study natural sciences in the Liberal Arts Education program. At ICU, it is possible to study science not only for the science required for responsible and proactive citizens, but also for a deeper and more specialized experience. Many students have completed their studies in ICU's major in natural sciences, and have gone on to graduate schools in Japan and abroad to deepen their research in natural sciences.
I hope that many of those who have viewed this page will practice a wider range of natural science learning at Liberal Arts Education.
