In physics, we offer various courses that are useful in graduate schools, from basic physics such as mechanics and electromagnetism, to condensed matter theory, biophysics, and elementary particle theory. We also conduct researches in various cutting-edge fields such as strongly correlated physical properties, nanomaterials, laser science, soft matter and quantum electronics.

Due to the dramatic improvement in group theory and computers, it has become possible to search for difficult conditions and untapped phenomena from various computational methods. We use numerical simulations to search for many-body phenomena and strongly correlated electron/spin systems.
