Fundraising to Support Students Affected by Natural and Other Disasters (Incl. Support for Evacuee Students from Ukraine)
Funds are always being raised to support and encourage students affected by natural and other disasters and students in need of emergency assistance to continue their studies.
Fundraising to Support Students Affected by Natural and Other Disasters
Since March 11, 2011, when the major earthquake and tsunami hit Eastern Japan, ICU has implemented financial aid measures for students affected by the disaster, such as reductions/exemptions of tuition and facility fee, as well as exemptions for the fees of entrance exam and matriculation. In order to respond to the recovery of the affected area and the increase in natural disasters in various regions, ICU has adopted measures to provide financial support not only to students affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake but also by other natural disasters.
Starting in 2022, ICU plans to accept Ukrainian university students who have evacuated to Japan and wish to continue their education in Japan. We plan to expand the scope of support through this donation to include evacuee students from Ukraine accepted by ICU, and will extend support to their tuition, dormitory fees, and others.
We highly appreciate your generous support and cooperation in this fundraising effort to help those students continue their studies.
