Greetings
To continue to be the “University of Tomorrow”

Chair, Board of Trustees Hirotaka Takeuchi
President Shoichiro Iwakiri
The International Christian University (ICU) was designated as the “University of Tomorrow” by Dr. Hachiro Yuasa, the founding president. To this end, we seek to ensure that our students deepen their learning each day as they engage in dialogue with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds in an environment filled with nature, so they can grow into people who will offer the world a better tomorrow from a global perspective.
Through ICU’s Liberal Arts, we nurture each and every student so that they become individuals with solid ethical values and a worldview that envisions the future, based on Christian teachings. To make sure that young people do not have to give up their chance of education for economic reasons, ICU has created the Pay Forward Fund with the aim of implementing a scholarship system. We also strive to preserve our natural environment and to enhance and manage our facilities so that we can support the realization of an ideal Liberal Arts education from an environmental perspective.
These activities are supported by your donations. We would appreciate your kind assistance so that students who are undergoing self-development can continue studying with hope for tomorrow around the world, and so that we can maintain an enriching educational environment for all students. We ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure that ICU can continue to be the “University of Tomorrow.”
About Friends of ICU(FOI)

"Friends of ICU" is the collective name for the fundraising initiatives established by International Christian University (ICU).
The history of ICU is a testament to prayer and profound commitment. In the immediate aftermath of World War II, when Japan’s reconstruction was still in its infancy, an international fundraising campaign was launched across both Japan and the United States. This movement was driven by a strong desire to establish a new institution of higher education rooted in Christian faith. Thanks to the selfless contributions and sincere sentiments of countless individuals, ICU was dedicated in 1953.
