Guarantors of Current Students

The Education and Research Fund is a program that invites all guarantors of current students to support our educational and research activities. Each year during your student's enrollment, we send information regarding this fund to all guarantors. While these contributions are entirely voluntary, we would be deeply grateful for your support in further enhancing the educational environment for our students.

Methods of Giving

Credit Card

You can make your donation via credit card payment.*

*Important Note Regarding Receipt Dates: Please be advised that the date indicated on your donation receipt reflects the date the credit card company transfers the funds to ICU, not the date you make your donation. Consequently, the receipt for a donation made in December may be issued in the following year, and the donation will be eligible for tax deduction in that following year.。

Internet Banking and ATM

Click the "Give Now" button and complete the online application form. Upon completion, the bank account information required for the transfer will be displayed.

Donation via Bank Transfer Form

You can donate from your local financial institution using our dedicated bank transfer form (Furikomi-Yoshi).

No transaction fees will be charged when using the dedicated form at any branch of Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, or Japan Post Bank (Yucho Bank).

Tax Benefits

For Residents in Japan

Donations to ICU are eligible for tax benefits as contributions to a "Special Public Interest Promoting Corporation" (Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin).
For Japanese income tax, you can choose between an "income deduction" or a "tax credit" when filing your tax return, depending on which is more advantageous for you. In addition, depending on your local municipality, a tax credit may also be applied to your resident tax.
All necessary documents for your tax filing will be sent to you in a single package once your payment has been confirmed.

For residents in the U.S.

Donors residing in the U.S. can claim a tax deduction by making their contributions through the Japan ICU Foundation (JICUF).
