Since the first matriculation ceremony in 1953, all incoming students at ICU have begun their university life by signing the Student Pledge, promising to uphold the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This pledge is indispensable in fostering a campus environment that nurtures global citizens who respect individuals with diverse backgrounds and values.
Under the leadership of President Iwakiri, a project to publish a trilingual version (Japanese, English, and French) of an illustrated book on the UDHR was launched. This initiative aims to further substantiate the Student Pledge within student life and to deepen the university-wide understanding of the UDHR, upon which the pledge is based.
The books translated by our students are distributed to all incoming students. Your generous contributions were utilized to purchase these books for distribution to the new students.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support.
