If you decide to decline our offer, please let us know your intension by e-mail(ent-procedures@icu.ac.jp) .
Please send the email from the email address registered at ICU.
In principle, once the matriculation (admission) fee and tuition & facilities fees have been paid, they will not be refunded.
However, if one has to cancel matriculation for unavoidable circumstances, the tuition and facilities fees shall be refunded upon request. (Matriculation (Admission) fee is nonrefundable.)
Note that the bank transfer fee will be deducted from the total amount of the refund.
Refund Process
1. Please prepare the Letter of Declining the Offer as follows before you start the online application. All the documents below must be attached to the online application form by the deadline.
- Write a free-form letter in which you include the following information.
- Request a refund of fees, clearly indicate your application number, your name, your signature, the date of the request for the refund, the signature of your parent if you are under twenty years old, and contact information (name, phone, address, etc.) of the person receiving the refund.
- Please stamp an INKAN(印鑑) next to your AND your parent’s signatures if you/your parent is Japanese.
2. Please submit the online application form below by the due date. After your submission, you will receive a completion email.

3. As soon as you finish the online application, please send the Letter of Declining the Offer to ICU according to the methods described below.
- If mailing from overseas, use a courier service such as EMS, DHL, FedEx, which shows the record of the mailed date.
- If mailing within Japan, use registered express mail (書留速達)
*Note that documents submitted in person at the University are not acceptable.
*Please note that it may take a few months for processing the refund.
