AY2024 Activity Report: ICU Sakura Replanting Project
After a period of fluctuating temperatures, signs of spring have finally arrived, and the cherry blossoms at ICU have begun to bloom. The fact that we can enjoy these beautiful blossoms again this year is entirely due to the generous support we received through the ICU Cherry Blossom Fund (2014–2016) and the Conserving the Natural Environment on Campus Fund. We would like to express our deepest gratitude once again for your kind contributions.
In academic year 2024, these funds were utilized to replant four cherry trees whose roots were in poor condition and to remove one tree near the main gate due to advanced decay. Furthermore, to ensure both the healthy growth of our trees and the safety of the campus community, we have been carrying out the removal of dead branches and necessary pruning where there was a risk of falling limbs.
