Starting in 2021, the Japan International Christian University Foundation (JICUF), in partnership with the Service-Learning Center, is implement the Common Good Grant (CGG) Project to support the community around ICU.

From January to March 2022, ICU undergraduate students were invited to apply to be members of the Student Committee and work to allocate the funds. This year, we recruited members for the second phase, and after screening documents and interviews 9 students were selected to join the committee. On April 7, 2022, an orientation session was held to kick off the project, where the students of the first and second committee members met each other and reviewed the project schedule.

Moving forward, the students will research non-profit organizations around ICU and solicit grant applications from them. The student committee members and project administrators look forward to getting to know the local community.
