AY 2024 TA Workshop (September 3, 2024)

Right before the start of the AY 2024 Autumn Term on September 3, we held a TA workshop.

Following opening remarks by the CTL Director, Professor Kei Nasu, a TA Orientation Supporter (an experienced TA) explained the main roles and responsibilities of TAs.

Next, CTL staff introduced the results of a pre-survey of TAs, sharing ideas about the difficulties TAs experienced in their work, how they overcame challenges, and what they keep in mind when communicating with faculty and students.

Another TA Orientation Supporter then gave a presentation, introducing practical advice based on her own TA work experience.

Finally, some important information from administrative offices regarding TA duties was provided, followed by a Q&A session.
