Report: AY 2026 Spring Term New Faculty Development Program (NFDP; April 7, 2026)

The New Faculty Development Program (NFDP) is designed to support our newly appointed faculty members. Since its inception in 2017, the program has now entered its 10th year.

On April 7, 2026, the first NFDP session of the academic year was held for faculty members who joined ICU this spring.

The first half of the session, "ICU Essentials," was dedicated to the April 2026 cohort. Following brief self-introductions, Professor Akiko Fujii, CTL Director, provided an overview of the program and explained the essential points for course management and research activities. The session was highly engaging, with participants raising a wide range of questions during the Q&A.

In the second half, the "Meet & Greet" session provided an opportunity for the new faculty to connect with colleagues who joined in 2025. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, participants enjoyed getting to know their new colleagues over lunch.
