Academic Planning Support(APS) at CTL would like to announce the recruitment of new IBS members. APS works closely with an academic peer advising group called IBS (ICU Brothers and Sisters) and is now recruiting new members for the upcoming year! Below is a message from IBS so please take a look.

Hello everyone! We are ICU Brothers and Sisters (IBS) and we are an organization, functioning under the APS, that aims to provide advising on academic planning from a student’s point of view. We are currently looking for ID22 students or transfer students (who entered in 2018) who want to lend a hand to other ICU students through peer advising! IBS will be holding informational meetings and we hope to see you there!

There will be informational meetings for those who want to learn more about IBS and an opportunity to talk to current IBS members.

Dates: 12/14(Fri) ~ 12/21(Fri), 1/7(Mon) ~ 1/11(Fri)
Time: 13:00~14:00, 14:00~15:00 (will be held two times)
Place: Mini Event space at Othmer 1F (At the front of APS office)

There is no need for an appointment. We are looking forward to meeting you!

・Target: Students with ID22 (April or September) or transfer students who entered ICU in 2018
・Seeking approximately 7 new members
・Application period: 12/14(Fri) ~1/11(Fri)
・Application process: Please come to APS (Othmer 1F) to sign up! You will fill out a form there, and once you have signed up, we will contact you with the date and time for your interview. After we conduct the interviews in January, we will contact you with the results around the end of January to the beginning of February.
*APS Office Hour is Monday to Friday from 9:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00

We are seeking potential members who:
-can continue IBS’s activities until graduation (required)
-support the IBS’s mission statement
-have the will to be a helping hand to others
-have/have not decided their major, are planning on studying the sciences, or are thinking of going through the teacher certification program

We work under APS’s mission from a student’s point of view, “To aid in the development of intentional learners”, through advising. We also hold various events for ICU students, participate in workshops to deepen our knowledge on academic planning and create web tools as well with the aim of helping our fellow ICU students in their college life.

・Peer advising on academic planning (at Othmer 1F, in shifts)
・Participation in New Students Orientations
・Monthly meetings between IBS and APS
・Participation in workshops
・Team Activities within IBS

(3) Public Relations Team

・Other activities such as events (ex. Spirit Project 2016) are also performed
