Report: AY 2025 Spring Term New Faculty Development Program (NFDP; April 2, 2025)

The New Faculty Development Program (NFDP) is an FD program for new faculty members. The program began in 2017 and is now in its 9th year.

The first NFDP session of the academic year was held for the faculty members who had just joined ICU on April 1, 2025.

The "ICU Essentials" session was held exclusively for those arriving in April 2025. After brief self-introductions among the participants, Professor Kei Nasu (Major: History), Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), gave an overview of the NFDP and explained the minimum required matters for class management and research for this term. The meeting was lively, with participating teachers asking a wide range of questions.

The "Meet & Greet" was attended by four faculty members who had joined ICU in 2024, allowing them to meet and mingle with the April 2025 arrivals in a friendly atmosphere. Participants enjoyed lunch and conversation with their new colleagues.
