This Academic Skills Workshop was designed to improve the quality of slides.
In the first half of this workshop, CTL staff introduced the four principles of slide design, CRAP, which stands for Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity. It is considered to be a basic principle that can be found in good design.
In the second half of the session, participants were asked to create their slides, using the CRAP principles to improve the “crappy” slides prepared as samples. Afterward, participants shared their improved slides and exchanged opinions with each other to deepen their understanding of easy-to-read slides.
